Studland Swimrun 2025
BOOKINGS NOW OPEN!!

Whether this is your first swimrun or your 100th, this is a stunning course with a mix of distances per section and a lovely gentle climb up to the top of Ballard Down after visiting Old Harry. It extends our short course with that climb and the views from the top make it all worthwhile!

You start off at Knoll Beach in Studland. Run 1 is a 1km adventure through the sand dunes to the sea, followed by an 800m swim along the shoreline, approximately 100m offshore to bring you in near the visitor centre. This swim crosses the Studland Marine Conservation Zone, which boasts not only incredible sea grass, but also, if you’re lucky, you may spot seahorses!
You’ll run along the shoreline to Middle beach and back into the water for 640m to South Beach.
It’s time to get those legs working. Its off up to visit Old Harry rocks. Grab some hydration or a free carb gel at Hydration Station 1 and then get your climbing legs on for the gentle but long ascent up to the top of Ballard down before you  start your descent back down to Studland. You can replenish your hydration and nutrition at Hydration Station 2 at the bottom of Glebe Hill if you need to.
The route back takes you past The Bankes Arms, but no stopping here until later! You’ll run  past Fort Henry, the world war II bunker where Eisenhower, Churchill and King George watched the final preparations for D-Day before swimming back 860m to Knoll beach. There’s a short dash to the finish line for a high 5 as you cross.

This race is subject to our standard swimrun rules

Important Note
Neoprene mandatory when water temp <16C or when water temp < 17C+windchill air temp < 18C
