Studland Swimrun

Totally new for the GB Swimrun scene, The SwimRun Relay!

Taking inspiration from our colleagues across La Manche, we’re opening our long course to teams of 5 in relay.

This event is perfect for company team building exercises as much as for groups of mates who fancy doing something a bit mad together on a Saturday morning!

Our long course is split into 5 bite size chunks. Some will favour those who prefer running, some will suit the swimmers and some sections have a healthy mix of both swim and run. One thing is for sure, you’ll have to all pull together to get the whole team over the finish line.

Here’s the breakdown:
Leg 1: Knoll Beach to Middle Beach
2 short runs and 1 swim. Total run 1.77km. Total swim 0.5km

Leg 2: Middle Beach to Sheps Hollow (start of Swanage Beach) Includes Old Harry and Ballard Down
1 swim 800m, 1 run 4.8km

Leg 3: Sheps Hollow to Peveril Point
1 long swim 1.4km, 1 run 1.6km

Leg 4: Peveril Point to Banjo Pier. Includes Durlston, Tilly Whim run.
1 swim 0.7km, 1 run 4.9km, 1 swim 0.5km

Leg 5: 1 run 5.3km back over Ballard Down, 1 swim 0.9km, 1 run to the finish line with your team of 0.2km.

Each team is responsible for organising transport between start line, segments and the finish line.

Entries up to March 30th can have branding on your team bibs which are your’s to keep as momentos after the event.

All courses could change, including on the day itself. Weather conditions and other factors dictate the final course.
